Tom Mullen English 111 Diagnostic Essay Why do you go to college now? When I first graduated high school and got ready for college, I can honestly say I had no  idea what I was doing there. I didn't know what I wanted to major in or where I wanted to go, so  I chose Mercy College since my father is an academic advisor there. I entered college as an  undecided business major and it wasn't until the end of my freshman year that I realized what I  wanted to become when I journey on into the real world. Ive always been extremely gifted in  mathematics and have always enjoyed working with numbers, so I decided to choose  accounting as my major. I took economics courses both my senior year of high school and  freshman year of college and was instantly intrigued by how economics studies the world using  numbers. Economics is interesting to me because of my love for numbers and finding new ways
