You wouldn’t recognize Texas in the 1950's if you lived in Texas in the 30's Argument for today: Texas was changed dramatically by the New deal and WWII The amount of demand for these things tended to equalize and at points in WWII the supply of all of these things did not keep up with the demand Over the course of 15 year the trend reversed The economy had not enough demand in 1930-32 for the supply of cotton, oil, labor, etc. More supply than demand Upward spiral was accelerated by WWII and the spending that occurred then Economy tends to go in a downward spiral or upward spiral Stimulate the Economy Govt. began to finance rural electrification Rural electrification- distribution, cost, and creation of power-Bringing electricity to rural areas- No flush toilets, no lights, etc. Gov't began rearming in the late 1930's and building defense back up Then and now if you have a powerful senator or congressman they direct funds to their people

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
