The essay was well-organized and easy to follow! Great job! However, there are some grammar mistakes present. I've also offered some suggestions to improve the clarity of various portions of the essay. While editing/reviewing, I did my best to keep your voice present in the paper. In paragrah one: "...my parents have always pushed me to be the child that mends our impoverished economic past." 1. "...child that..." is not grammatically correct and can be re-written as "...child who..." 2. You can consider omitting the word economic; it is unnecessary. 3. The word choice "mends" could be reconsidered given the context of the sentence. I understand the reaction you are attempting to elicit from the reader but perhaps you can consider rephrasing it as: "...my parents have always pushed me to be the child who uplifts us from our impoverished economic past." Or "...to escape our impoverished past, my parents have always pushed me to strive for..." In the second paragraph, the sentence: "I feel that for these reasons..." can be
