Thor’s Duel with Hrugnir This myth starts with Odin, the god of gods, not being content with himself and life even though he had it all. This can be an example that men think they have it all with riches but even when they have it they aren’t content and look for something else like drugs, parties or drinking and this is what Odin did. Odin went searching for adventure and he wanted to live what everyone else was living so he went looking for trouble. Since he saw everything he knew that Hrungir was an easy target to get easily angered and fooled so he angered the giant and challenged him to a race. In my opinion sometimes we get bored of the life we have or what we do so sometimes we want to switch it up and live it a different way and then you realize you can’t do it. Odin was a cheater because not only did he trick Hrugir into the home of gods but got him drunk and wanted to defeat him the easy way and wait until he was unconscious to defeat him.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
