1. In the 14 th chapter of “Invitation to the Life Span” the body and mind of Late Adulthood starts to be dug in more depth. Through the chapter, topics mainly having to do with cognitive development and decay, along with the diseases around those, along with prevention to those are discussed. Specifically, one of the most interesting topics having to do with cognitive perspectives in older people was the section of new cognitive development. According to the author, “Are there cognitive gains in late adulthood? Yes! New depth, enhanced creativity, and even wisdom are very possible” (Berger 527). This topic mainly discusses the enlightenments and milestones even the decaying generation can reach before their impending life transfer. In addition, a human developmental theory is discussed, Maslow’s Hiearchy of Needs, specifically, in regards to the older generation, the author mentions “Maslow maintained that older adults are more likely than younger
