Emily Gomez Tube number: 1 This bacterium had definite growth. The Size of one colony was one mm and the color was whitish but clear so you could see through them. The were round and a little elevated but not a lot. “B. cereusis a gram positive bacteria. This was identified by the color that the bacteria appeared under the microscope during the gram stain test. Gram positive means that the bacteria only had one cell wall layer. The bacteria absorbed the crystal violet stain, leaving the bacteria to appear purple” (Talia, Meidan). To determine which bacteria I had I performed 4 test which were Kliger’s, tryptophan, motility, and thiogllycoate. The kligers test proved that it turned yellow and did not stay red. This means that fermentation has occurred and bacteria used lactose, which means it was anaerobe. Other test I performed was the tryptophan to test. This test determined negative because it stayed yellow and no trace of redness was shown. We also did the motility test which was negative because the line stayed in the middle

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
