1. In the 13 th chapter of “Invitation to the Lifespan”, the start of late adulthood is transitioned from that of middle-age adulthood, and to be discussed on the psychosocial level at first like every other section in the book so far. This chapter covers the social capabilities and the thought processes behind them in the older realm of adulthood. From mixed emotions, to friends and acquaintances, to family, and to social complexities in every form are all discussed in this chapter. The topic that I found the most intriguing out of all of them was that of Personality Traits. According to the author temperament is the basis for all of everything, starting from the beginning of the life, and affects one’s life tremendously “There are hundreds of examples. One recent study found, for instance, that temperament at age 3 predicted gambling problems at age 32” (Berger 466). In the author’s words, “from Chapter 4 each baby has a distinct temperament. Some are shy, others outgoing; some are frightened, others fearless. Such traits are affected by
