Biography: Since joining the English Department in 1981, Elizabeth Gill Vidaurri has specialized in Composition I and II. She has the distinction of twice earning the highest pass rate and retention rate for the 1301 blind departmental finals. From 2007 to 2013, in addition to teaching composition, she was Dual Enrollment English Composition Coordinator, overseeing and mentoring eighteen instructors from seven school districts. Her most recent publication is “ Buena Vida” in Journal of South Texas English Studies (Summer 2013). She has a Master of Arts in English from Pan American University and thirty post- graduate hours in English and education administration. Her scholarly interests include composition pedagogy, praxis, rhetoric, classical and medieval literature, and especially creative writing and creative non-fiction which centers on her upbringing and Hispanic heritage and the RGV. Degrees: Master of Arts in English from Pan American University in 1981 Certification in English in 1978
