Aliyah Jhingut September 28, 2014 Discussions: #1 The advantage of boiling the agar in this lab is to make the agar sterilized to help the bacteria grow. Also, to kill any bacteria that is living inside the agar. #2 In a pressure cooker, we covered the flasks loosely with aluminum rather than sealing them with a rubber stopper because when the flasks boils, it creates gas inside it and the pressure makes the rubber stopper to pop out. As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
