The unethical action that I noticed in the video case is when Ernie confronted Ted about how he has not indicated the disposal site that the toxic waste were going to and about how the week before he had dumped them on county property. Improperly dumping the toxic waste can get Ernie’s plant and Ted’s company fined or even shut down. It was wrong for Ted to put himself, his company’s employees, Ernie, Ernie’s company’s employees, and even the wellbeing of both companies in jeopardy. With consideration to the categorical imperative technique, the fact that toxic waste is being dumped in unsecure locations is unethical because it can also put a lot of people in the community at harm. In a hypothetical universe, it has become a universal law for every waste dumping company to dump toxic waste on county property. I believe that there would be a lot of health issues across this hypothetical universe. Some of those issues
