Evan Koczan Dr. Gus US History II 11/16/16 The Democratic Party of 1892 had very strong ideas contrary, of course, to those of the  Republican and Populist Party. The Democrats are against complete federal government control  over the states. They believe it takes away the state’s rights originated by the Constitution in  America’s early days. The Democrats also makes a point to try and win over the “colored  citizen’s” vote by saying how federal power, supported by the Republicans, would strongly  diminish colored people’s lives with more segregation. Taxes are used for personal needs and not
