Koczan Evan Koczan Mr. Tortorici Religion III 28 October 2016 Cosmic Origins The creation of the universe is an odd thing, however the most widely followed  explanation of the universe is that it was designed by a supernatural being, God. Science and  theology are constantly trying to figure out how the universe was made and keep on coming to  the same answer… there needs to be someone that was alive before it was created in order to  design the universe. There is a theory provided by science called the Big Bang theory, which  explains the universe coming together all from one tiny singularity. Many scientists also try to  explain the accommodating design of the universe for humans by using the Anthropic Principle.  Now in theology the First Cause concept and the very detailed design of the universe are both  used to show that this universe could not just be designed so perfect by itself. Many people back  then argued that science and theology couldn’t have a close relationship because they were  contradicted each other, however science and faith need each other to find out how this  unimaginable universe was created. Big Bang Cosmology is a concept widely regarded as the most reasonable coming about  of the universe. The Big Bang theory was proposed by Fr. George Lemaitre of Belgium. It  basically states that the universe used to be a singularity not moving until something or someone  triggered it. Thus creating the universe inhabited by so many species today. Now what could  have triggered such a drastic event? Many proofs have been proposed that are so verifiable that  1

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
