Pre-reading:  Reasons it happened - a) colonial desire to expand territory and British refusal to aid them b) British need for more money because they protected colonists because colonists didn't listen about the expansion of territory (French and  Indian war debt) c) British tax on imported goods and refusal to allow colonial trade with  other nations d) lack of colonial representation in government What happened - I want to liken the United States to a 13-year-old boy who punches a  hole in the wall and who upon hearing the parent’s punishment lashes out. As a  result of the taxes (parent asking 13 y/o to fix hole) imposed by the motherland  in order to repay the debt created by the war with France, the colonists (13 y/o), or rather a small rebellious group of them (the sons and daughters of liberty),  begin lashing out by not paying taxes, destroying goods (Tea party), and even

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
