1. Discuss factors used to classify retail establishments and list the types within each classification. A  - The first factor used to classify retail establishments is the Amount of service. Not every  establishment requires the same amount of service. There are a few varying degrees that classify the amount of service offered: Self Service where the customer is typically on their own or has  very limited interaction with employees. These would be retailers like Walmart, Publix, etc. The  second would be an intermediate or "limited service" retailer. These stores offer more sales  associates to assist consumers with their purchases. You will often find that stores like best buy  and Sears offer limited service. Finally there is full service retailers where employees assist  consumers through the entire buying process. If you've ever purchased jewelry from somewhere  like Kays or Jareds, you've been to a full service retail store.  B – The next factor used to classify retail establishments is based on the types and breadth of the products offered. They are broken down into several categories. Specialty stores focus on a small
