Resistance training in youth has always been a controversal topic in the schools and also in the fitness industry in the following essay i will take articles from five different sources and describe the benefits and risks .Source 1(-facts-and-fallacies)According to This ACSM article school children should perform 60 minutes a day moderate to vigorous activity , there is evidence that also shows the benefits of strength training in kids . there are 5 myths surrounding the topic of strength training in kids and the topics are as follows, strength training is unsafe ,strength training will stunt growth , children will experience bone growth plate damage, strength training is for young athletes. The believe that strength training isunsafe for children is not consistent with the needs of the children . Strength training requires supervision, appropriate overload, gradual progression and adequate recovery between exercise.
