List the exercise as well as the movements involved. How will an understanding of fundamental movements help you in your future training endeavors? 3.The six fundamental movements of major body segments are , flexion ,extension, abduction ,rotation and circumduction . For flexion movement and ideal exercise would be hamstring stretch . An extension movement is the the return from flexion and exercise that would target extension would be leg extensions. Abduction is the movement of a body part away from the midline, an example of abduction movement dumbbell lateral raise. Adduction is defined as the movement of a body segment toward the midline an example exercise for adduction would be the hip adductor machine.
