Final Lymphatic System: -know 2 nd part, acquired. Function: transport, immunity, drains from interstitial fluid, -does not transport gases, know order of lymph flow -where does the fluid come from to feed into ducts? The trunks -respiratory, skeletal muscle pump, and valves help it go back to heart. (lymph has no pressure) -malt- lining internal organs (whatever has mucosa) -anti-microbial substances (chart) -immunoglobulin (antibodies) are produced by plasma cells- activation of b cells and binds to iGD -b cell, on surface binds to antigen/igd, b cell Is antigen presenting cell, activates t cell, produces plasma cells produce antibodies/immunoglobulins -5 types: igg (fetal rejection), iga-(saliva tear, child), igm in lmph and blood (blood rejection), ige- mast cells, basophils -MHC1 are produced by all nucleated body cells/ infected cells -MHC2 only antigen presenting cells:dendritic, macrophages, b cells (activate T helper) -exogenous- MHC2, endogenous MHC1 -citoxic t cells kill in 2 ways: granzymes & perforins and granulysin -natural and artificial active/passive immunity -which cells produce histamine? Mast and basophils (allergic response) -MHC1 will trigger cytotoxic T cells CD8 cells to come and attack -adaptive immune response: antibody (b cells) and cell mediated (cytotoxic)

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
