The Insurrection was a Politicaluprising that struck the nation. Due to the belief of misinformation and war cries of the formerpresident, hundreds of confederates gathered in Washington, D.C., to create trouble. At 12:49pm, confederate American terrorists rushed the Capitol, injuring people, stealing confidentialfiles, and creating crisis and civil unrest. This was only a successful attempt because they weresupported by Donald Trump, who served as the president. Donald Trump falsely believed he wasrobbed of an election victory and rallied his supporters to riot to protest these results. This wasmet with a cataclysmic series of events that would shake the nation thoroughly. In his book,Timothy Snyder talks a lot about civil unrest, but I noticed three critical points he made thatconnected directly to The Insurrection. "Listen For Dangerous Words," "Believe in Truth," andfinally, "Do Not Obey In Advance." While many of his points were spot on, primarily as thebook focuses on how to live in a Tyrannical government, These points stuck out to me the most.
