Unformatted text preview: Josh Huver Huver 1 Marrinan H. English 9 11 March, 2004 Journal Assignment In the 4 th grade I discovered one of the single most important things in shaping who I am today. I found music that I liked, that could be mine. Sure, my Dad ALWAYS had music playing in our house when I was an infant. Back then he had the time to change the record all the time. Whenever I get into his car, his music plays. But this was different, this was MY music, not my Dads. Little did I know, that no matter how much I liked it, my dad liked it the same. I was way into classic rock; always looking through my Dads CD collection. During this time I became a big fan of former Van Halen front man Sammy Hagar. I was listening to his CDs all the time. Then in 2000, for my birthday, my dad got me the newest Hagar album (Ten 13) and also tickets to an upcoming show at the Delta Plex. You wouldnt believe how excited I was. Then the day came to go to the show. We were in the car listening to the new album, talking about the show. I didnt notice it then, but looking back on it now, regardless of how much my dad liked Hagar, the show....
