The writers of the Seneca Falls Declaration used the Declaration of Independence as their model because it includes all of the rights of the individual. It contains everything that is just and right for man which in turn should be the same for women. The Declaration of Independence is stated from a male’s standpoint and does not mention women as being apart of it. The Declaration is the perfect model because it states everything a person is entitled to, and now women make a declarative stand that it applies to them as well. 2. Men exercised an “absolute tyranny” by monopolizing almost every mean of profitable income, he has given women a different code of morals to follow and if married in the eye of the law, civilly dead. By these means, men have been tyrannical over women throughout history. This is because men were in charge of most everything, such as working and making an income, they were the property owners and had say over women
