1625 census Bacon’s Rebellion 1675-77 Nathaniel Bacon vs. Sir Wm. Berkeley (governor) Solidification of Virginia became a white colonist state because of Bacon’s Rebellion. Not really a class dispute but who has control over colony resources. Bacon was fighting Indians as well for popularity/land. Bacon’s army was burning down houses of Berkley’s supporters and vice versa. Bacon got white indentured servants, ex-servants, and lots of black slaves with a promise that if they win, they’ll all be freed. Rebellion peters out because Bacon gets a bad virus, and Berkeley hunts down Bacon’s supporters.
