Kim Etherington is an EMDR therapist, counselor, supervisor, consultant and trainer in voluntary and statutory organizations. This book looks at the life stories of ex-drug abusers, who explain it all in their own words. She offers insights on how to tackle addiction. Etherington highlights how listening to their life stories can be very therapeutic. She analyzes the link between childhood experiences and drug abuse and depicts the paths to transformation. This is a useful book because it describes in much details the stories of how these addicts overcame their addiction.
