Easy and common to misunderstand Arianism – trinity, Christ Gnosticisim Pelagianism -- Nestorius – Antioch – syriac/aramaic Cyeil – Alexandria – greek -- Jesus Human- body/flesh/soul/spirit Divine – immortal etc. one with the god, logos, etc Logos can’t suffer, incarnation -- Antiochene interpretation Christ divided in 2 parts, jesus and logos Jesus = human nature (something that logos can’t do, cry, die) Logos = divine (something jesus can’t do, resurrect, miracles)
