You would however feel like you were weightless do to the fact that you are continuously falling toward the earth, however since you are moving at such a great speed you horizontal speed in relationship to the earth’s surface is so great that you are basically outrunning the curve of the earth and you are not getting any closer to the earth. The reason the sun doesn’t collapse is because when atoms get to close to each other the electrons orbiting around the nucleus repel each other and make so the atoms can only get so close to each other. RQ20. The pre-Newtonian worldview was combination of religion and science. The Earth-centered view of the ancient Greek fit well with the idea that the humans had a purpose and that the purpose of the Universe revolved around humans and the Earth.
