2 Health Care Utilization When dealing with Health care utilization there are some factors that can affect the  patient that will determine how they use health care. Let’s look at John he lives in a rural  community in which he has to drive miles in order to access care. Also the type of insurance that  John has plays a part in what healthcare systems he will use due to the fact that John has  Medicaid and he has to travel 40 miles in order to see his primary care physician, also another  thing that affects John’s Health care utilization is the fact that he does not have his own  transportation, and the practice does not have weekend or evening hours.  Immutable or Mutable Factors Immutable is something that does not change and mutable means that it can change. The  factors that affect John’s utilization of healthcare are both mutable and immutable. For an
