Ahmad 1 Faizan Ahmad Professor Gavin Paul 25, November ,2016 (Rough Draft) In “Between the Sexes, a Great Divide”, Writer Anna Quindlen asserts that there is a great gender divide between men and women and this divide exists because of the clichés of society. She emphasizes this gender divide by illustrating high school parties in 1980’s. Where boys and girls dance separately on the dance floor, and if a boy asks a girl to dance with him then people “would immediately develop a certain opinion of that girl” (125). These clichés existed in that society “not because of big differences among us, but of small ones” (126). Men and women are biologically different, but they are equally intelligent .Both sexes are emotionally the same .They only have small differences which are often being fed to them by the society. It relies on how men and women are brought up. For example, girls have been taught from the younger age to play with Barbie dolls. Hence, they do makeup and wear fancy dresses. In contrast; there are girls who play hockey and soccer just because no one told them to play with Barbie dolls in their childhood. Quindlen share her experience of gender difference

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
