Lab Number 3: Newton’s Second Law of Motion Introduction (Purpose of Lab and Hypothesis): Purpose of Lab: To gain confidence that newton’s second law of the motion is valid and to gain experience with Pasco interface and data studio. Hypothesis : As the mass of an object increases, the acceleration of the object decreases. Procedure and Results: In this lab, I had to find out if Newton’s second law of motion was accurate. First, I had to take mass of all of the objects to be used in the experiment. Cart: 509.4 g Hanger: 5.2 g Paper clip: 0.9 Weights: 5g, 10g, and 10g Black weight: 500.3 g
