2 Phase IV - The Interview Process A great deal of the information collected will come from personnel interviews This process uncovers information that is not published Provides various points of view regarding the problem Provides insights for selling your recommendations, change management and implementation issues. Identify Potential Interviewee s Schedule Interviews Plan Interviews Conduct Interviews Assemble End Products Interviews are an integral part of almost every engagement. They can be an excellent source of data but they need to be planned to be effective.

3 Phase IV - Identifying Potential Interviewees Interviewees can be both internal and external to the company. Potential interviewees for internal data will likely be identified at the initial client meeting. For external data, there are various sources that should be contacted to determine interview candidates. The problem being addressed will dictate the types of interviews required. Think carefully about who you need to interview. You want enough to cover the breadth and depth of information you need. .
