In this experiment we will examine the effect aspartame has on memory. We will test this by
giving our participants a set amount of sodas each day, then test their ability to recall names.
In the first step we need to locate a group of people with average memory. We will conduct an
IQ test that tests each participant’s memory. We will choose the participants that score closest to
average so there will not be too much difference in each participant’s memory capabilities.
It is important that the participants be within the average body weight as their doses of
aspartame can be affected by weight.
The test should use the same soda with all participants. We will use diet caffeine-free Pepsi in
twelve ounce servings.
It is also important that none of the participants use any other products containing aspartame. It
