Attention gaining device: Has there ever been a time in your life when you truly felt that your world was falling apart? B. Thesis: Though the divorce of my parents I learned that unconditional love and forgiveness is essential to healing. C. Credibility: I witnessed my parent’s divorce and dealt with the emotional baggage that comes with it. D. Preview: 1. To begin I will disclose to you the event of my parent’s separation. 2. Secondly I’ll convey how this divorce affected my family and more so, myself. 3. Finally I will express what my family life consists of today and how we’ve began to heal. II. Body a. The spring of 2006 was the kick-off of a tumultuous separation that was going to heavily affect me for the rest of my life. 1. My mom and I are very close and I can tell when something is bothering her, she confided in me that she was planning on separating from my dad after 28 years of marriage.
