Project 3 Use alpha of .05 on all problems. Fifteen students were surveyed about their average GPA, the type of organization they were in, and their classification. Explain what each of the following items is in terms of the problem. Experiment: Recording average GPA's of students Design: Randomized Block Experimental unit: Students Response Variable: Student's average GPA Factor(s): main: organizations involved block: classification Level: main: social, church/civic, none block: freshman, soph., Jr., Sr., Grad. Social Church/Civic None Fresh 77 88 70 Soph 80 92 72 Jr 79 89 75 Sr 80 90 86 Grad 80 91 95 Preform the proper analysis. Set up Ho and H1 ( you may need more than 1) Ho: μF=μS=μJ=μSR=μG H1: at least 2 differ H1: at least 2 differ Did blocking have an effect? No. Do not reject Ho for the block. The p-value was > .05. State your conclusion. Reject Ho for main block because the pvalue was < .05. I'm 95% confident due to the sampling method used, that at least 2 differ. If appropriate, explain which means are different.
