Tasks to pay for his room and board Gorgias Knemons son Sycon Mageiros : trained slave that will: Sacrifice the animal Cuts sacrifice to be seen as a butcher Cooks and prepares meat for feast (chef) Wasnt needed everyday since they didnt eat meat everyday was hired out to others A member of another household and not Sostratus Sostratus gets advice from Kyraeus as to what he would do to aid the situation Sostratus attempts to help the girl but Gorgias interrupts their meeting because he thinks his intentions are dishonorable Sostratus persuades Gorgias to let him help in the fields in order to get Knemons approval Sostratus mom had a dream that he would be working in the fields and hires Sycon to make a sacrifice Knemon doesnt go out to the fields and all the work Sostratus is doing will not be recognized Sostratus notices his family gathered for the sacrifice Knemon refuses to give Sycon a pot to cook the meat Feast begins Woman drops the bucket in the well ad as Knemon attempts to recover it he falls in the Sycon and other slaves refuse to help him Gorgias pulls him out of the well Knemon has a change of heart Knemon realizes that he always needs someone to help him Knemon decides to make Gorgias in charge of his daughter...
