Protagonist: Although in the article, a protagonist has the regular meaning of a main character in a story, the image of protagonist is portrayed in a negative way. A usual protagonist is a Caucasian male who is heterosexual. It almost seems like the martial era of Asia has transformed itself into the now gaming era. Backslash: What game creators don’t want to deal with the potential backslashes of the more unconventional portrayal of characters. One example, is when gamers portray black people as the villain, or Asians as the nerds. Although these type of people exist in our world just like any other race, they can potentially raise up heated topics and anger people. Thus, producers of games choose to avoid them.
