INTRODUCTION Al-Mawardi Abu Al-Hasan Al-Mawardi (972-1058 AD) He was born in Basrah during the year 972 C.E. and died on 1058 C.E. Some of Al-Mawardi’s works are Kitab al-Hawi, at-Igna’, Siyasat al-Mulk, Qawanin al-Wizarah, Abad al-Dunya w- al-Din and al-Ahkam al-Sultaniyyah. His main political thought is embodied in his al-Ahkam al-Sultaniyyah ( The Ordinances of Government) Other than political theory, he focussing on the details of public administration and rules of government.
Al-Ghazali Abu Hamid al-Ghazali (1058-1111 AD) He was born in Tus, Persia, Great Seljuq Empire and died in 18 December 1111 at age 53. He is one of the great jurists, theologians and mystics of the 12 th Century. Some of his work’s are al-iqtisad fi-I-iqtiqad and al-mustazhiri. Ibn Taymiyyah Taqī al-Dīn Abū al-ʿAbbās Aḥmad ibn ʿAbd al-Salām ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad ibn Taymiyyah Islamic scholar, theologian and logician. He was born in Harran,Turkey on 22 January 1263 He died while in prison on 22 Zulkaedah 728 AH (27 September 1328).
