1. EBM relies on evidence from research to make informed managerial decisions(Robbins &Judge, 2019). Management is about posing questions, searching for evidence, and applying thatevidence to the problem at hand. Unfortunately, many management decisions are still made "spurof the moment" with little study of the available evidence.2.EBM is appropriate in this scenario because by applying the best available evidence frommultiple sources, evidence-based management involves making decisions based on the bestavailable evidence. "Organizational Behavior (18th ed.)" authors Robins and Judge contend thatinternal decisions are subjective, while data are objective. Therefore, management should usesubjective and objective criteria to make sound decisions (Robbins & Judge, 2018). Using EBMin decision-making, managers can eliminate most judgment errors, collect data from backing upcause-and-effect relationships, and hold management to higher accountability.
