TET1 –Task 3 Technology EvaluationIntroductionInstructional Setting and Content AreaThe instructional setting is a fifth-grade classroom at a Title-I elementary school locatedin a suburban area. There are 25 students in the class with ages that range from nine years old toeleven years old. The elementary school has three fifth grade classrooms for a total of 75students. The classroom is supported by one general education teacher at all times as well as pullout supports from a grade level shared reading intervention aide (for students below the 20thpercentile on NWEA MAP and one grade level or more below in reading according to runningrecords), a district shared ELL teacher (for students identified as being English as a secondlanguage learners), a speech and language pathologist (for students identified as having speechdisabilities or disorders), a school-wide physical education teacher, a school-wide music teacher,a school-wide art teacher, a school-wide librarian resource teacher, and a school-wide counselor(for students identified as having anger management issues).The identified content area is math, specifically fact fluency which is location in thenumbers and operations strand. All subjects (writing, English language arts, reading, socialstudies, science, social emotional learning, and math) are taught by the same general educationteacher in the same classroom. Math is taught after lunch in the afternoon from 1:25 to 2:55 witha physical education class interrupting the block on Tuesdays from 1:50-2:20.
