Logan Spring February 21, 2008 Journal Entry #7 Professor Wegman Love Thyself HPE 112 Eating Disorders The can remember the first time I understood an eating disorder, thanks to a Lifetime movie. I had heard of eating disorders before, but I guess I had never really know the seriousness of them until I saw this movie. I remember this girl who became so obsessed with food and not eating, that she became so sick, and still wouldn’t help herself. She died in the end, and I remember thinking about how crazy someone would have to be to watch themselves dieing and do nothing about it. I was extremely young and naïve, and couldn’t understand the concept at all. In fifth grade, and again in seventh, my school had a woman come into to speak to us about eating disorders. I remember noticing how amazingly different the same story was, and it showed me how different my state of mind became over the course of two years. This woman told us a story about this 19 year old girl who became anorexic. Along with
