AL-FATAH UNIVERSIY Faculty Of Engineering Department Of Petroleum Engineering Applied Reservoir Eng. (PE-453) Mid-Term Exam. #2 ( Fall 2009) Q-1 An undersaturated oil reservoir has the following data: Pi = 2800 psi Boi = 1.375 bbl/stb Rsoi = 240 scf/stb, Pb = 1200 psi, Current Res. Press: 2000 psi, Bo= 1.3877 bbl/stb, Cw = 3.6x10 -6 cf = 8.6x10 -6 , Swi =0.25 Np = 9.58 MMSTB, We = 0, Wp = 0 Calculate: a- Ni and RF at 2000 psi : 1- considering effect of compressibility. 2- Ignoring compressibility Which result is more correct b- Bo at Pb, assuming constant oil expansion Q-2 The following data is given for an undersaturated oil reservoir: Pi = 3100 psi, Rsoi = 625 scf/stb, Boi = 1.340 bbl/stb @ 1550 psi : 22% of IOIP was produced, WE = 0 , WP = 0. Bo = 1.2 bbl/stb, Rs = 125 scf/stb, Bg = 0.00718 cf/scf, Res. Temp = 200F 0 CALCULATE: (a) - The cumulative produced gas oil ratio (RP). (b) – The Initial Gas In Place (IGIP) if cumulative gas production was 90 x10 9 Scf. Q-3 The following set of data is given for saturated combined drives reservoir: Pi = 3500 psi, Bgi = 0.00637 cf/scf, Rsoi = 600 scf/stb, Boi = 1.3126 bbl/stb, Res. Initial Free gas = 369 x10 9 Scf. After 4 years of production, this date was obtained:

### What students are saying

• As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

Kiran Temple University Fox School of Business ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

Dana University of Pennsylvania ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
