Jon McCard November 28, 2006 Music History Concert Paper The concert that I chose to see, called the Teutonic Titans was by the New Haven Symphony Orchestra. We went to the show on November 16, 2006 at 7:30 PM. It was held at the Woolsey Hall at Yale University in New Haven. The concert hall was very nice looking; the exterior was made of stone. As I walked inside the building and into the auditorium the first thing that I noticed was the massive organ. I noticed it was a Newberry Memorial Organ, which I guess meant that it was probably state of the art. When I first saw the musicians I noticed that there were about eighty to ninety members so I figured out that the concert was an orchestra. As I looked through my program notes I found out that there would be a guest conductor who is Marc Taddei. I learned that he was born in New Jersey and was educated at Julliard. He was also the Music Director of the Christchurch Symphony in New Zealand for a couple of seasons. Also I found out that there would be a guest artist in the concert as well. Her name was Brenda Harris who is one of America’s most sought out after sopranos when I heard her voice I was
