Holden’s Playlist (30 points) Assignment Due Date:_____________________ Playlist : By yourself, or with one partner, compile a 6-song playlist for Holden Caulfield, as if he were around today. You may only use the songs on the list provided. With each song chosen, address the following: 1. Lyrics : Copy and paste the lyrics that apply to your explanation. DO NOT copy and paste the entire song, only the portion that applies. 2. Rationale Paragraphs: For each song, write one detailed 5-sentence paragraph describing why Holden Caulfield will like it. Connect the lyrics of the songs to themes, scenes, plot points, or situations from the book. Each paragraph must be structured in the following format: 1. A topic sentence (which includes the name of the song) 2. Reason(s) why Holden will like it  3. Must give the context of the book (one specific passage along with cited with page  numbers ) 4. Give concrete details (specify the lyrics that you are referencing and how they connect back to the text) 5. Give your in-depth commentary about how the song relates to the theme, scene, plot point, or situation. 3. Works Cited Page: For your playlist, you must provide a Works Cited Page using MLA documentation; remember to alphabetize.
