Zappos warehouse tour Zappos can efficiently provide excellent customer service for a number of different reasons. Zappos’ warehouse consists of many dedicated workers that care solely about the customer and getting the package to them. In researching the firm, I found that the employees had nothing but positive comments to say about the business and how well treated they are there. Employees strive to make sure the costumer’s package is delivered as soon as possible. Now a couple years ago, Zappos became business partners with Kiva Systems. Kiva is a mechanical robot that locates a needed product from a stack of shelves and then maneuvers around the warehouse to a Zappos operator, who then boxes the product and sends it out for shipping. With these Kiva robots, the estimated time once the order is placed and ready to be shipped takes about 12 minutes, whereas a traditional warehouse with conveyor belts averages around 48 minutes. By having this Kiva machine, the wait time for the customer to get their product is reduced drastically. Instead
