Media Planning Exercise Netflix 1. Target: The target consumers for this brand’s marketing will be Innovators and Achievers. Innovators are 118% more likely to rent Netflix making them an obvious target, and because achievers are also more likely to own the product (29%) to go along with being more family-oriented, they too are a great target for advertising. This ad is great for both targeted audiences. Innovators, who tend to be skeptical about advertising, get all the initial information they need including the price, cancelling subscriptions is easy, and a phone number for additional questions. This ad is good for achievers in the sense that they believe money is the main source of authority, and a low monthly price is displayed clearly. - This commercial is effective because it involves humor, but for it pertaining to innovators I am not sure how effective it would be. The ad is a bit corny and maybe even confusing to some, which aren’t the things that will catch an innovators attention and attract them to the product.
