Interactivity: The web allows for data and resource sharing that enables communication with within a company or that allows users to post comments on an article. A well-designed website should include tools that enable its visitors to engage in interactive, two-way communication with the website’s publisher. Cost: Compared with print, updating web content is more cost effective. Unlike print, the cost of publishing web content does not vary based on its length, color composition, or design complexity. Whereas each printed piece incurs an individual cost, a website's expenses are not affected by the number of site visitors. Delivery: The fast and inexpensive distribution of published information over the Internet and the web. 2. Identify the basic design principles that help webpages deliver a powerful message and leave a distinct impression. Successful web publications combine creativity with the basic design principles of balance and proximity, contrast and focus, and unity and visual identity. 3. Discuss how responsive web design principles influence web design. The use of grids for responsive web design layout ensures pages will adapt to different screen sizes and device types. Web designers use grids and horizontal layouts, as well as simplified typography, single-page layouts, and an 'app-like' interface as part of responsive web design. With responsive web design a visitor might only see a list of headings and article titles on a webpage, which they click to expand articles they wish to read.
