Jin • Prediction – Predict future behavior based on current information – Dependencies between distant points in product lifecycle • Design problem is open-ended – Multiple acceptable solutions – The quality of uniqueness does not apply • Design problem is ill-structured – The solutions cannot normally be found by routinely applying a mathematical formula in a structured way Page 4 Senior Design Project Y.
