This presentation gives recognition to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) policies and the trends it has encountered, as well as the potential trends to come in the future. By analyzing the factors that influence HIPAA, which includes the policy’s change or creation, societal, economic, and demographic factors that have driven the creation and modification of HIPAA, the policy can be better understood and lead to the analytical value of trends that drive change in HIPAA. These trends can include health trends, philosophical trends, and perspectives, as well as trends that cause change, movement, and action. Through becoming educated and knowledgeable of HIPAA and its elements, predictions of the future policy changes of HIPAA policies that may be significant for the current policy or for its future.
