The purpose of this essay was toexplain in detail the impact Mrs. Flowers had on young Marguerite. The writing pattern Angelouused was narrative. I feel that she used this pattern very well. Her usage of descriptive writingindefinitely brought to light what things looked like, smelled like, sounded like, and even howthings tasted.
