Carlee McClelland World History I (20313) 13 November 2016 Chinese Dynasties The Sui dynasty was the first time China was united, reunified, and rebuilt for a positive Han image. This was when Han Ideas and identity begin to appear again. Sui Wendi is responsible for successfully bringing in the Vietnamese from the South, and getting China to what we would know of it as the height of the Chinese Empire there during the Ming period. The Sui Dynasty period was when you began to see Confucian ideas reappear, as well as return of diplomacy and centralized government to a significant factor. The people of China was split into going two ways involving the way they seen and viewed the political ideas and institutions. Some favored the Chinese tradition, with an emperor, a bureaucracy using exclusively the Chinese language, and a Confucian state philosophy. Others reflected Tibetan, Turkic, or other regional cultures and depended on Buddhism to legitimate their rule. This was when rise of the
