2US HISTORYUS HistoryIntroductionThere are people who made contributions towards the liberation of America from colonialism. They offered all they had and even put their lives on the line to help in the liberation. Such people are in the history books as prominent figures due to the contributions they made. It is because of such people that today we have the freedom of this nation. One such person is William Prescott. He was born on February 1726 and died on October 1795. In several ways, he helped the American society during the time of colonization and even after that. Service in the armyPrescott joined the army at a tender age when he served in the militia during the French and Indian war. He was in the company of William Pepperrell. He did not any major role in the war then as he was still young. He was to participate later in the revolutionary war where he played a leading role.
