Terror On September 11 th 2001 the unthinkable happened in New York on this normal Tuesday. As the World Trade Center located in New York City was filled with workers a plane crashed into the South tower. Soon after the South tower was hit the other tower was struck and thoughts of an accidental plane crash disappeared. Americans and other people world wide soon discovered this was no accident, it was a terrorist attack. Reading the stories and poems from the dreaded American day of September 11, really hits home for readers of the high school and college generations. The stories really hit home for these generations due to the fact that the events unfolded on their televisions. The events appeared in news papers, books, and magazines world wide for several weeks and still today. The stories describe chilling details and eye witness accounts of each event that took place. The poems describe the grief some have experience from the events of September 11

The first sentence of the chilling story reads, “Some people saw the first plane hit” the reader knows at this point exactly what he or she is about to read. The story includes everything from names of people on the plane, the names of the air traffic controllers, and even the names of the hijackers. Reading the first hand accounts and visualizing the terror erupting on the planes that were hijacked on September 11 th is almost paralyzing to those involved and those who watched from home. The detailed analysis of that day and the poems of the aftermath are truly gut wrenching and give the reader a great visual perspective of both what the hijackers were seeing and what those in New York were witnessing....
