(Burdett, 2016) Inbound marketing is a two way communication between the customer and the company, where the customer is the center, as opposed to outbound marketing, a company centered approach, where the customer is bombarded with messages in the hopes of closing a transaction. .(Burdett, 2016) Inbound marketing uses branding, email marketing, social media marketing, video marketing, email marketing and content marketing are the tools used for the purpose. (Burdett, 2016) AIRBNB is an example of a successful company that uses inbound marketing to create loyal followers. The idea of starting the company came about in 2007 when two roommates living in San Francisco could not afford to pay their rent. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
